Your Invited: Annual Meeting & Holiday Shoppe Preview

Mark your calendar! The Arts Council will hold its Annual Meeting on Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. at The Art Space. The Annual Meeting is open to ALL current members of the Huntingdon County Arts Council.

Per our By-Laws, “During the Annual Meeting, the general membership will receive annual reports, elect new officers and Board members, and give direction for the future.”

Executive Director John Kearns will give a presentation on activities in 2016 and a look ahead to activities in 2017. Treasurer Adam Pfingstl will present the financial summary for the year.

At the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, all current members can preview and have a special buying opportunity at the Holiday Shoppe that will be open to the public on Friday, December 2. We hope to see you there!

However, that's not what he's best known for now: he's a legend in the world of origami. His intricate designs are second to none, and they actually have applications back in engineering.

So excited for our Chair-ity Auction with the Huntingdon County Library this Wednesday, May 3 at 6:30 pm. ...

Join us Wednesday, May 3 at 6:30 pm for a Chair-ity Auction. The Huntingdon County Library and the Huntingdon County Arts Council will be co-hosting the auction which will raise funds for both organizations. The event will feature a silent auction of chairs painted by local artists and will also have raffle baskets. Tickets to the event are $10. The first chair is called "Play" and was painted by seniors Drew Watson and Emily Wennick. The second chair is called "Color SPLAT!" and was painted by sophomore Logan Allen and senior Jonathan Bair. All the artist are students in Erin Shaffer's 3D Design class at Huntingdon High School. If you'd like a chance to bid on this chair, stop by the Library or Arts Council for a ticket or buy one at the door. Join us at Mayfest today to see the chairs in person and keep watching our social media for more chair and basket previews before the auction. Sponsored by The Daily News.
