Flux Exhibit by Haven Tucker, July 10 to 28

Category:Exhibits
The Huntingdon County Arts Council is delighted to host an exhibit by Haven Tucker. The exhibit, Flux, will be open from July 10 to 28.

Haven Tucker’s current art practice, as well as he himself, exists in a state of flux, and as such defining what he does as an artist is complicated. He is very interested in the relationship that materiality and the environment have, and the interconnections between our social understandings of materials and the way we segregate and compartmentalize materials into resources. By defining something as a resource we establish it as valuable. Haven finds that the way value is assigned to materials to be especially interesting and in his art he attempts to question the true value of a resource or object through juxtaposition with its source material.

An artist’s reception for the Flux exhibit is on Friday, July 13 from 6 to 8 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

The Art Space is open:
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 12 pm to 6 pm
Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm

The Art Space is located at 212 Fourth Street in downtown Huntingdon.
