Teachers Wanted

Are you looking to share your creative abilities/ talents/ skills/ passions with your/our community? The Huntingdon County Arts Council would love to partner with you to teach at the Huntingdon County Arts Center!

We are looking for individuals who wish to share their creative passion by offering workshops and classes at the Huntingdon County Arts Center. Topics can span the full range of arts and crafts, including painting, drawing, jewelry design, knitting, spinning and weaving, flower arranging, photography, photo editing, framing, origami, playing a musical instrument, jamming, creative writing, cooking, etc.

Workshops are defined as a single session on one day, ranging from an hour or two to a full day.

Classes are defined as a series of sessions spanning over a period of time.

Both workshops and classes can be aimed at beginners or more advanced learners.

Perhaps you are visiting Huntingdon County and would like to share your talents with our community. In that case, this is an excellent way to partner with our local creative community with only a one-day commitment.

All classes will take place at the Huntingdon County Arts Center, 313 12th Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652. Our new facility, a well-maintained former church, has a variety of education spaces available, including smaller classrooms, large rooms with seats that can accommodate many students, sinks, design boards, easels, a kitchen, a projector, and a screen.

Teaching Fee

Our normal teacher pay is $35 per hour of class or workshop. For artists looking to offer a full-day workshop, please contact us directly.

There are three options for materials needed for classes and workshops.

1. Teacher supplies materials for each student and provides the upfront cost.

2. A list of supplies needed is provided, and each student must purchase their own materials.

3. The Huntingdon County Arts Council provides materials. The Arts Council will determine materials costs for the students.
