Kids Summer Camps for 2026
This summer, give your child the gift of creativity with our Summer Art Camps — three weeks of hands-on, imagination-fueled fun for kids ages 5–12, led by professional teaching artists.
- Week 1, June 22–26, features clay sculpting and community art-building.
- Week 2, June 29–July 3, brings found object sculptures and cookie and cake decorating.
- Week 3, July 6–10, rounds things out with invention design and personal artistic exploration.Â
Camp Details
The summer camps will run for three weeks, from June 21 to July 10. Classes are held Monday to Friday. Camp runs 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day, with half-day options available for morning, 8:30–11:30 a.m., or afternoon 12:00–3:00 p.m. Student who register for the full day need to provide for their own lunch.
Each week, participants will explore a different theme, keeping the activities fresh and exciting for children.

Parents can register their children in person at the Arts Center or online using the form below.Â
The cost for each week is just $175 per child for a full day, $125 per child for a half day, offering a great value for parents looking for a safe and engaging way to spend the summer. Spots are limited, so it’s recommended to sign up early to guarantee a spot in the camp of your choice.

Sculpt it! with Ali Abbatiello
In this hands-on Air-Dry Clay Camp, students will explore the fundamentals of sculpting in a way that extends beyond camp week. Using air-dry clay and simple, everyday tools, campers will learn essential techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab-building, joining pieces securely, adding texture, and refining details. Each project is designed to build both creativity and craftsmanship while helping students understand how to plan, construct, and finish a three-dimensional piece.Â

Kindness Lives Here is a one-of-a-kind art camp where kids come together to create a detailed, hand-built model of Huntingdon — filled with the places they love and the moments of kindness that make our community special. Think miniature parks, sculpted figures, painted storefronts, and tiny scenes of people helping, sharing, and connecting. It’s part art studio, part storytelling adventure, part love letter to our town.

Join us for this hands-on sculpture camp where young artists ages 5–8 get to dig into a treasure trove of everyday materials like cardboard, paper clips, popsicle sticks, air-dry clay, tape, paper, and more! and turn them into totally original, one-of-a-kind creations. No two projects will look the same, because no two imaginations are the same!

Cookie and Cake Decorating, with Ali Abbatiello
In this hands-on decorating camp, students will explore the art and technique behind transforming simple cookies and cakes into edible works of art. Campers will learn foundational skills such as piping with different tips, working with butter cream, flooding and detailing with royal icing, blending colors, adding texture, and creating layered designs. Each day builds creativity and precision as students plan their designs and bring them to life on a variety of themed treats.

Spark Tank: Invent Something Original and Helpful for Others, with Grace Fala
Do you enjoy making things that are unusual? Putting pieces together from recycled items? Creative problem-solving? Having fun showing and sharing your ideas and inventions? Do you want to create something special to help your friends and neighbors? Let’s see what invention sparks in you! In our spark tank, you’ll not only brainstorm new ideas, but you’ll also design, deliver, and market an original invention for others to enjoy, too!

Making Your True Art, with Andrea Darby-Tietjens
Join us for a one-of-a-kind camp experience designed for kids ages 9–12 who already know they love making art — and are ready to go deeper. Whether you’re into drawing, painting, comics, character design, portraiture, or something totally your own, this is your space to explore it further and grow in the ways that matter most to you. No cookie-cutter projects here. Instead, each kid gets personalized guidance tailored to their own artistic interests and goals. With support from an experienced teaching artist, students will sharpen their fundamental skills, develop their own unique style, and walk away with a body of work that actually feels like them.
