Invitation to Sell Artwork at Holiday Shoppe 2018

Category:Events

The Huntingdon County Arts Council would like to extend an invitation to you to sell your artwork at our 2018 Holiday Shoppe– an annual artists’ market hosted by the Huntingdon County Arts Council at our Art Space in downtown Huntingdon. This year the Shoppe will run from November 30 to December 22.
Important dates:

Drop Off: Monday & Tuesday, November 26 & 27, 1-6 pm, drop off your work at The Art Space

Pick Up: Wednesday & Thursday, January 2 & 3, 1-6 pm, pick up unsold work at The Art Space

We recommend that artists who sell with us mark up their work 25%–the Arts Council takes a 25% commission fee of each work sold, and we handle the 6% sales tax. At the Shoppe’s conclusion, the Arts Council will write a check to each artist reflecting the amount of their sales.

Special notes for this year:

  1. Please RSVP and let us know if you want to participate. Send a confirm email to John Kearns at johnk@huntingdoncountyarts.com
  2. We request that you pre-fill out the  Holiday_Shoppe_Artist_Inventory. Ideally we would like you to email us the inventory sheet to use before you drop off your artwork.
  3. We will need a Hold Harmless Agreement and Sales Agreement from each artist.
  4. We are asking each participating artist to work a minimum of 2 hours at the Holiday Shoppe.
  5. Please label your artwork with your 3 initial, then a dash, then a number that corresponds to the number on the inventory sheet. For example: “ABC-1”.

Want to share that you’re selling with us? Spread the word on Facebook and Instagram!

Artists are invited to participate in Meet the Artists Night on Thursday, December 20 from 5 to 8 pm as part of our Art Walk Huntingdon event.

Thank you, sincerely, for your interest in participating in this annual event. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Executive Director John Kearns at johnk@huntingdoncountyarts.com

Vienna Serenade in ConcertSituated on the Danube River in Austria, Vienna was the music capital of Europe for many years—a place that most of Europe’s leading classical and romantic era composers called home. Vienna is also a city rich in architecture, with many grand buildings, mansions, gardens, monuments, and parks. Get a taste of Old Vienna on Sunday, June 2 at 2 PM, when Vienna Serenade takes the stage at the Huntingdon County Arts Center. The group consists of 11 professional musicians who recreate the glorious music of the 19th century. Hear waltzes and familiar works by Strauss, Dvorak, Waldteufel, and other famous composers, played by musicians who love this music. Tickets are $20 ($16 for Arts Council members and students) and are available at huntingdoncountyarts.com, at the Arts Center (312 12th Street, Huntingdon) or at the door. There is no charge for children 12 and under. Warning: You may feel like waltzing in the aisles! ... See MoreSee Less
