Huntingdon County Arts Council is seeking a Marketing Coordinator & Youth Liaison Job
This is an Americorps position.

The Huntingdon County Arts Council is dedicated to providing art and cultural opportunities in Huntingdon County. 

Job Description:

The Huntingdon County Arts Council seeks an arts-interested individual to assist in raising awareness about Council events, programs, and the importance of the arts in the community. This individual will promote and enhance event interest and attendance by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; track sales and participation data; and prepare reports for internal and external use and analysis of effectiveness.

This individual will also act as the principal liaison to area K-12 schools to coordinate and promote arts in education and youth activities.

Duties:

  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns, including social media and print; prepare marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; update calendars.
  • Increase website and social media traffic.
  • Track event participation.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Assist in preparing print communications.
  • Be liaison to all four county school districts
  • Develop and implement arts in education programs
  • Promote arts opportunities available to area youth and other communities, i.e. retirement, persons with disabilities, etc.?.
  • Develop a minimum of six arts workshops.
  • Assist in staffing gallery and sale area.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational & marketing skills
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Comfort with communicating across social media platforms
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

This job is a commitment with Americorps from January 11 to August 9, 2019.

Total compensation includes a stipend and an education award on successfully completing a term of service.

At the Huntingdon County Arts Center, we offer seven different weeks of summer art camp for kids, for 9- to 12-year-olds. The classes are from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with a different theme each week. The cost for each weekly session is $90.
