Evgeny Krayushkin is an artist and a teaching artist for the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts. Together with the Perry County Council for the Arts we are pleased to announce a 10-day Huntingdon County Art Residency and invite artist members from the Huntingdon Arts Council to participate in these plein air workshops. The workshops are free, but you must register.

“A part of my landscape” is an artistic interpretation of our surroundings, our town. We will look at some of the prominent locations and some of the more obscure ones as well, with the purpose of discovering a story within. Each landscape or location is very unique for each one of us, we will be exploring different ways we all perceive and experience each location rather than painting the photographic likeness. Evgeny is more focused on helping you develop and improve your own artistic vision and style, rather than impose his own.

This project is about diversity and the beauty of the individual, color and experience. With that in mind, we welcome artists of every level and proficiency. Your individual medium is welcomed, as well as you can incorporate it into a plein air experience.

COVID 19 Restrictions

This Art Residency is designed to be safe. We will be meeting outside, in the areas around Huntingdon, which have a lot of room to walk around. Please note, that we will be using social distancing of 6 or more feet and wearing face masks. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided.
