Art Walk Huntingdon will be on Thursday, May 16th! Be sure to look for our mascot, Artie Walker. If you take a selfie with Artie and post it on Facebook, Instagram or X (Twitter) with the hashtags: #IFoundArtie and #ArtWalkHdon, you could win a prize from Artie’s basket at the next Art Walk!
The Huntingdon County Library will have their “All Artists Welcome” from 5-7 PM. Learn about and explore a variety of artists, styles, and mediums and make beautiful creations.
 
Huntingdon County Arts Center will Create Your Own Zentangle with Andrea Darby, from 5 to 7 pm.
 
Bryan Park on the 500 block of Washington Street will include Mainstream Counseling along with The Huntingdon County Prevention Network and partners, recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month with information and activities to raise awareness to mental health disorders. Community information and activities will be available as part of the event. A “Chalk About Mental Health” activity will be available as an art project.
 
Grab a “Take & Make Mini Museum Kit” from the distribution box at Juniata College Museum of Art.
 
Join a Shamanic Drum Circle at the Huntingdon Health and Wellness Association for Self-Healing and Self-Exploration; For Ages 13 and Above. Please bring a notebook or journal, pen, eye covering, blanket or yoga mat, and drum or rattle if available. For more information, or if you have not done a shamanic journey previously, please contact Dana Jefferson at [email protected] or 814-643-4260. The event is free, but donations are always appreciated.
 
Decorate & plant a flowerpot to welcome spring at Standing Stone Coffee Company.
 
Create a dog-themed diamond painting with some adoptable pups from the Huntingdon Humane Society at Juniata Brewing Company.

We had a great opening reception for our Rural Rising exhibit on Thursday. The exhibit is our Call for Entries exhibit based on the theme Rural Rising (which we "borrowed" from the Rural Rising seminar at Juniata College.We have 59 works of art from 20 different local artists, so come check it out.The exhibit is free and runs through May 3.
