Another fun and easy, curved piecing project for quilters!
This class features the Wonder Curve Ruler and includes a free pattern.
Can you imagine sewing curves with no tears, no frustration, and no stress?
Yes, sewing curves can be fun!

Join Barbara Dann and learn to sew curves the Sew Kind of Wonderful way while making this charming butterfly table runner.

This class includes step-by-step instructions for the Wonder Curve Ruler.
Barbara will also share lots of hints and tips on organization, machine piecing, cutting, and pressing.

The workshop is on Friday, September 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The total cost for this class is $80 for nonmembers and $75 for members. 

The workshop is at the Huntingdon County Arts Center (formerly the 12th Street Methodist Church) at 313 12th Street, Huntingdon.

 

Required Materials:

Print Ready Wonder Flutters Supplies and Cutting Instructions in PDF Form

Sew Kind of Wonderful Wonder Curve Ruler * – required – $32

Pattern is included with the ruler. (Sold at the class.)

Invisigrip or non-slip dots for the Ruler – (recommended, will be available in class)
Sewing machine in good working order
¼” foot
Open toe foot
New needle
Thread
Full bobbin
Marking Pencil
Rotary cutter with new blade 45mm
Cutting mat
Iron and pressing mat
General sewing tools -scissors, seam ripper, pins, etc
Chair cushion – optional
Camera – optional
Optional: Pre-cut Kit for Wonder Flutters Table Runner (5 butterflies) – $35

Fabric requirements and precutting instructions will be included for those who don’t want a kit.

Wonder Flutters 10” x 37”
Butterflies (5) 10” assorted squares
Background ¾ Yard background fabric
From each 10” square cut: (4) 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” squares
(1) 1” x 4 ½” strip
From background cut: (3) 5 ¾” x WOF strips, cut into (20) 5 ¾” x 5 ¾” squares
(1) 3” x WOF strip, cut (5) 3” x 8”
(1) 1 ½” x WOF, from strip cut (5) 1 ½” x 8”
(10) 1” x 2”

Huntingdon County Arts Council
Lainey Albaugh will perform in concert at the Huntingdon County Arts Center. She is a soprano and is a senior vocal performance major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her recital will feature selections from both classical and musical theater repertoire, including works by Puccini, Strauss, Richard Rodgers, and Stephen Schwartz. Originally from Huntingdon, Lainey appeared in several local musicals before continuing her studies at IUP. Recent roles include Jo in Little Women and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.Lainey will be accompanied by Cheryl Latten.
