Art Walk Huntingdon: Open Photoshoot on Infant Loss Awareness, Thursday, October 19, 5 to 8 pm

Category:Events

Join us Thursday, October 19, as the Huntingdon County Arts Council participates in Art Walk Huntingdon with a very special event: Open Photoshoot on Infant Loss Awareness.

Aaren Sellers and Chantel Nuebauer will be running an awareness photoshoot, focusing on Infant Loss, which can include still born, miscarriage and infertility issues, but are definitely not limited to just these avenues. We are using photography as a way to express grief, loss and anger in an artistic way. As you enter the Art Space building during Huntingdon’s Art Walk on Thursday you will be entering a haven of live music, refreshments and an informational table concerning infant loss awareness.

Chantel will be writing messages on the stomachs of those who choose to participate in this project and then Aaren will be photographing these individuals. People are free to choose a statistic, quote or personal message to be written on their stomach as a way of expressing themselves.

The finished photographs will then be shared as an online gallery to display multiple personal experiences of infant loss.

Art Walk Huntingdon takes place on the third Thursday of every month during the hours of 5:00-8:00 pm.

The Arts Council is one of 12 venues participating in Art Walk Huntingdon. All events are open to the public thanks to the sponsorship of participating businesses and the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau.
