Dan & Galla in Concert, Sunday, April 6

Category:Concerts

On April 6, area residents will be treated to a concert by local performing artists Dan and Galla.  This delightful couple has been performing together for more than 25 years and has acquired a sterling reputation for fun-filled performances at multiple concert venues throughout Pennsylvania and many out-of-state venues.

Both are strong vocal performers who go out of their way to engage their audiences and present music from many styles and backgrounds.  Each concert is different, evolves naturally, and suffuses the audience with merriment.  Their instrumental talents are prodigious.  Galla supplements vocals with flute, guitar, ukelele, and balalaika, and Dan is the keyboard specialist, facile in piano and accordion, as well as supplementing vocals with trumpet.

Dan hails from Osage, Iowa, and Galla is a Huntingdon County resident, born and raised in Hartslog Valley, where the couple currently resides.  They are strong supporters of the arts in our local area and are well-known as ambassadors to the Huntingdon County Fair and multiple other fairs and venues throughout the area. They are strong supporters of the Arts Council, and we are truly blessed to be able to display their talents on our concert stage.

For further information on their music-making history, visit their website at www.gallaanddan.com or their page on Facebook.

The concert will be held at the Huntingdon County Arts Center at 12th and Mifflin Streets in Huntingdon at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.

Tickets may be obtained at the door, but securing tickets early on the Arts Council website at this link is advised, as we expect this to be a capacity crowd!

Tickets are $20 for general admission, and $16 for members.

👉We have a new art exhibit! 🎨This exhibit celebrates the creative journey between student and teacher in oil painting. Keppy Arnoldsen, a newcomer to oil painting, showcases her initial works, highlighting the courage to try something new and the influence of mentorship. Guided by accomplished artist Lynn Stewart, known for her impressionist style, Keppy explored color, form, and personal expression. Together, their paintings illustrate the powerful impact a teacher can have on a student's artistic growth. Teacher and Student – Making Lasting Impressions through Oil Painting invites viewers to appreciate individual development and creative collaboration. #localart#artexhibition#huntingdonpa#huntingdoncountyartscouncil ...
