Class Description:
Students will explore a variety of dance styles while building skills in movement, expression, and collaboration.
The class will culminate in a unique final performance that weaves together elements of local history and the spirit of the holiday season—a celebration of community, creativity, and connection through dance.

Teacher Bio:
Ann Van Kuren is a modern dancer and choreographer who creates solo and ensemble pieces inspired by literature, history, and contemporary issues, aiming to explore new dimensions of humanity. She collaborates with dancers to craft narratives that evoke deep emotions and enhance self-awareness.
With experience performing works by over twenty-five choreographers, Ann draws influence from the Humphrey-Limon tradition and contemporary artists. In 2001, she founded VanDance Inc., a contemporary modern dance company. Notably, she earned a Teaching Artist Certification from The University of the Arts in 2020.
The total cost for the class is $100 for members and $110 for nonmembers.
The workshop is at the Huntingdon County Arts Center (formerly the 12th Street Methodist Church) at 313 12th Street, Huntingdon.
