Art Contest Open to All: Theme–Discover What’s Under Your National Park

Category:Events

Huntingdon’s own Lincoln Caverns is proud to partner with The National Park Service and International Year of Caves and Karst (IYCK) partners in sponsoring an art contest to celebrate the International Year of Caves and Karst in 2021. The theme for the art contest is: “Discover what’s under your (National Park) feet.” We would like contest participants to find a cave near them and base their artwork on the karst landscape or caves that lie beneath.

Lincoln Caverns will be sponsoring a Regional Contest! Regional prizes will be awarded by Lincoln Caverns in each age group.

  • Artwork will be accepted starting March 1st and ending June 12th.
  • Artwork may be delivered during regular operating hours to Lincoln Caverns or mailed to their address below.
  • Other Participating Caves are listed on the contest website.
  • Follow the Contest Guidelines to enter ONE Regional Contest.
  • The winners of Regional Contests will be announced by the sponsoring cave in June 2021 and entered in the national contest.
  • As regional results become available, they will be shared on the event homepage at International Year of Caves and Karst 2021—NPS Celebrates!
