Big Band Sound Kicks Off Concerts on the Quad on Thursday, June 28

Category:Events

Once again, the Concerts on the Quad music series will take place on the lawn at Juniata College this summer. The music series features five different concerts and is in partnership with Juniata College.

Our first concert is Thursday, June 28 and kicks off the series with the always popular Big Band Sound, with their mix of sounds from the six decades of music. The concert is sponsored by Community State Bank.

Thursday, July 5 features Dylan Miller.

Thursday, July 12 features the jazz and soulful sound of Urban Fusion.

Thursday, July 19 is Art Walk Huntingdon, so we will skip that week.

Thursday, July 26 features vocal group Take Note and Anita Roseborough.

And the series concludes on Thursday, August 2 with Crooked Line. This concert is sponsored by Thompson’s Candle Company.

Since last year’s series was hampered by damp weather, this year rain locations have been designated. The rain location for the Big Band Sound will be the Huntingdon High School Auditorium, while the rain location for the other four dates will be the Stone Church of the Brethren.

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and are on the Juniata College lawn in front of the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. The concerts are free, but donations are collected and given to the musicians.

Bring your lawn chairs, your blankets, picnic supplies and your friends and family to the Juniata College quad, in front of the Halbrittter Center for the Performing Arts.
