Members of theΒ CurtinΒ family loveΒ to play music together, and their enthusiasm and commitment to excellence make for truly memorable performances.
David CurtinΒ has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and has served on the faculty of Lock Haven University since 2004.Β Hyun Ju CurtinΒ has an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and currently is teaching in the Carnegie Mellon University Preparatory Department. Both David and Hyun Ju are Steinway artists.
Brian CurtinΒ has been playing violin and winning musical awards since the age of five. He has performed with various local orchestras and is currently majoring in violin performance at Carnegie Mellon University.Β Benjamin CurtinΒ began studying the piano at age 6 with his parents and later taught himself the guitar and bass. He is pursuing a degree in business at Carnegie Mellon University with a minor in music.
The concert will include works by Franz Shubert and Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as popular songs from Queen, The Who, and Rik Emmett.
The concert will be on Sunday, July 24 at 2 p.m. in theΒ newΒ Huntingdon County Arts CenterΒ (formerly the 12th Street Methodist Church) at the corner of 12th & Mifflin Streets in Huntingdon.
Tickets are $12 for the general public and $10 for current Arts Council members and students (with ID). Children under 12 are free.
