Invitation to Sell Artwork at Holiday Shoppe 2019

Category:Events

The Huntingdon County Arts Council would like to invite to you to sell your artwork at our 2019 Holiday Shoppe—our annual artists’ market at our Art Space in downtown Huntingdon. This year the Shoppe will run from November 29 to December 23, plus December 26-28. We will be open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm.

Details:

Drop Off your work at the Art Space:
Monday & Tuesday, November 25 & 26, 1-6 pm
and/or Monday & Tuesday, December 2 & 3, 1-6 pm.

Pick Up your unsold work:
Thursday & Friday, January 2 & 3, 1-6 pm.

We recommend that artists to mark up their work 30%. This year Arts Council will take a 30% commission on each work sold, and we handle the 6% sales tax. At the Shoppe’s conclusion, the Arts Council will write a check to each artist reflecting the amount of their sales.

Special notes for this year:

  1. Please RSVP and let us know if you want to participate. Send a confirm email to John Kearns at [email protected]
  2. We request that you pre-fill out the Holiday_Shoppe_Artist_Inventory_2019. Ideally we would like you to email us the inventory sheet to use before you drop off your artwork.
  3. We will need a Hold Harmless Agreement and Sales Agreement 30% from each artist.
  4. We are asking each participating artist to work a minimum of 2 hours at the Holiday Shoppe.
  5. Please label your artwork with your 3 initial, then a dash, then a number that corresponds to the number on the inventory sheet. For example: “ABC-1”. If you have similar items at the same price (notecards, hats, etc), we strongly suggest you make them one item number with the total quantity. (For example, Notecards, XYZ-01, quantity 24).

Want to share that you’re selling with us? Spread the word on Facebook and Instagram!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Executive Director John Kearns at[email protected].

👉We have a new art exhibit! 🎨This exhibit celebrates the creative journey between student and teacher in oil painting. Keppy Arnoldsen, a newcomer to oil painting, showcases her initial works, highlighting the courage to try something new and the influence of mentorship. Guided by accomplished artist Lynn Stewart, known for her impressionist style, Keppy explored color, form, and personal expression. Together, their paintings illustrate the powerful impact a teacher can have on a student's artistic growth. Teacher and Student – Making Lasting Impressions through Oil Painting invites viewers to appreciate individual development and creative collaboration. #localart#artexhibition#huntingdonpa#huntingdoncountyartscouncil ...
