Last Week for Valleys & Vistas: Fiber Landscapes Exhibit, by Kari Roslund

Category:Uncategorized

Created over the last five years, Kari Roslund’s fiber landscapes capture various scenery found throughout the United States. Viewers are introduced to the tactilely enticing juxtaposition of various textures and invited to examine subtle yet delicate details found only when we stop and ponder.

The exhibit is at the Huntingdon County Arts Center, 313 12th Street (formerly the 12th Street Methodist Church), Huntingdon, PA.

Kari Roslund grew up in Woolrich, PA, and developed an affinity for woven woolen wares and the story of wool. As a talented artist, she likes to work with raw fleeces, hand-dyed locks, and roving, creating a type of contemporary tapestry, and bringing a three-dimensional element to her impressionistic work.

The exhibit will be open through Saturday, October 1.
