Class Description: 

Have you ever admired the music of the Carter family? Have you ever wanted to join in on a music jam session? Have you ever wanted to accompany yourself, your family, or your class of grade school students with supportive and simple musical backup? The autoharp is the perfect instrument for all of this and more. Easily learned, relatively affordable, and adaptable enough to stand alone as a melodic solo instrument, the autoharp is also a great instrument for personal relaxation and for front-porch music making. Students will depart this class with enough technique to do all of the above, while acquiring a handful of tunes under their belt that they could share with others.
