Join us for a concert with the Penn State School of Music’s Graduate Brass Quintet on Sunday, January 18, at 2 pm..
The Quintet is the premier student brass quintet of the School of Music. It is comprised of the graduate teaching assistants from each brass area, along with other graduate brass students. The ensemble is under the direction of Professor Velvet Brown, David P. Stone Chair Distinguished Professor of Tuba and Euphonium and Associate Director for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the Penn State School of Music. The group performs standards of the brass quintet repertoire, along with contemporary works for brass, at Penn State, in the greater State College and central Pennsylvania area, and has gone on tour and given masterclasses along the East Coast.
The concert admission is by donation.
