Mark Your Calendar: Celebration of the Arts October 5

Please join us on Saturday, October 5, as we celebrate the arts at the Huntingdon County Arts Center, with a FREE, one-day art and music event. 

The event will feature several types of activities for your enjoyment and inspiration. There will be demonstrations of a variety of art forms, including painting, working with fiber, and jewelry making. Other sessions will involve hands-on activities for adults, as well as children. Plus, there will be live music all day. 

The event is free and tickets are not required. The Arts Center’s doors will open at 10 a.m., and activities will continue through 4 p.m. Stop by, at any time, or check out our website for the full art activities schedule. The Arts Center is located at 313 12th Street in Huntingdon. 

Celebration for the Arts Music Schedule

10:00 a.m. Nick Miller, One-man-band with guitar, percussion, and sitar

11:00 a.m. Larry Mutti, folk autoharp 

12:00 p.m.Flip Side, with Grace Fala & Rhonda Sweigart, popular oldies & sing-alongs

1:00 p.m.Steve Dixon, piano & vocals in the style of Elton John, with arrangements of favorite artists, from the 60’s and 70’s

2:00 p.m. Paul Amato, classical, flamenco, jazz, and new age guitar 

3:00 p.m.Lion’s Mane, classic rock: Pink Floyd, Cream, Santana, Skynard, & Phish style rock

Huntingdon County Arts Council
Lainey Albaugh will perform in concert at the Huntingdon County Arts Center. She is a soprano and is a senior vocal performance major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her recital will feature selections from both classical and musical theater repertoire, including works by Puccini, Strauss, Richard Rodgers, and Stephen Schwartz. Originally from Huntingdon, Lainey appeared in several local musicals before continuing her studies at IUP. Recent roles include Jo in Little Women and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.Lainey will be accompanied by Cheryl Latten.
