Unusual Suspects Concert: December 20

Wanting just a little more yuletide spirit? R.B. and Bridget Powell, of Unusual Suspects, will present a program of secular and sacred songs in honor of winter and the Christmas season on Saturday, December 20, at 2 pm at the Huntingdon County Arts Center. They will present a repertoire of yuletide music with their own characteristic vibe and will be joined by assorted friends to round out the sound.

The concert is Free (donations accepted).

R.B. and Bridget have travelled widely in the bluegrass circuit and have been invited to play in jams along with many of the greats of bluegrass and old-time music. Locally, they have hosted bluegrass-themed events and participated in folk and traditional jams for several decades. Expect a suite of instruments, including banjo, upright bass, guitar, and autoharp, as backup to solo and harmony vocals.

You’re sure to find songs in their set that you can join in on as well.

Admission is free, and the Arts Council’s Holiday Shoppe will be open to round out the afternoon’s pleasures.
