When I Are We Exhibit by Sophie Brenneman, May 4 to 26
Category:ExhibitsThe Huntingdon County Arts Council is delighted to host an exhibit by Huntingdon native Sophie Brenneman. The exhibit, When I Are We, will be open from May 4 to 26.
Her existence began from the splitting of one egg into two identical halves. Her drawings and paintings are an investigation of the physical and psychological implications of twinness. Her curiosity about the body is rooted in considering how one navigates a life of duality—living simultaneously as an individual and a pair—singular, yet plural. Her work attempts to graph these often tacit and unseen dimensions of our lives.
An artist’s reception for the When I Are We exhibit is on Saturday, May 19 from 6 to 8 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
The Art Space is open:
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 12 pm to 6 pm
Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm
The Art Space is located at 212 Fourth Street in downtown Huntingdon.
